I had just assumed that the hens just knew better than to eat unknown vegetables.Paul Stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01258616903816516262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26113031.post-80672929754037957462010-06-13T18:47:37.029-07:002010-06-13T18:47:37.029-07:00Oh my, thanks! I guess I better get a bigger freezer, just in case:) Let me know if you do figure out how to compost a dead chicken, it sounds sort of interesting.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16642947276308505560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26113031.post-26215321175756928402010-06-13T10:57:48.292-07:002010-06-13T10:57:48.292-07:00Nice chicken story but it's sad. I like your stories.Manzanitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06467261212623663365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26113031.post-92087089391992123822010-06-13T10:06:38.586-07:002010-06-13T10:06:38.586-07:00Well, we used to bury them (funerals and all) but ...Well, we used to bury them (funerals and all) but the kids are used to farm life/animal death now. So she went into a trash bag and into the freezer, to be taken out with the garbage on Monday. If I knew how to compost dead bodies (I know it can be done), I'd do that, but I'm not at that point yet ;-)Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17297237900094898777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26113031.post-3502520178632751582010-06-13T04:11:17.346-07:002010-06-13T04:11:17.346-07:00I am so sorry to hear about your chicken. And can I ask ('cause I have 8 chickens that will someday die), what did you do with her? Sorry if that is too graphic! New chicken herders need to know.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16642947276308505560noreply@blogger.com
